I was invited by MEP Dr. Paul Rübig to the hearing “The EU budget and SMEs” on the 15th of July in the European Parliament in Brussels. The topics were “EU financial support for SMEs” and “A new approach to supporting start-ups: How can the EU budget do better?” Many different programmes and initiatives were launched to help SMEs in Europe to run their business, create new jobs and to generate more economic growth. Around this hearing I had some meetings with EU politicians and decision makers about integrating the EU institutions in the initiative around the SEA and vice versa. With our strategic partner EU-InnovatE, one of the EU´s flagship research projects, we are already working together and from this base we are planning the next steps to combine our forces for creating a liveable future.

CEO Wien Holding
Sustainable management means to assume responsibility for us and future generations. It is our big task to point the way, so our children and grandchildren find the quality of life, which is at least as good, if not better, as the quality we, life in today. This means in practice, social, economic, and ecological aspects have to be adjusted and brought to a common denominator. If this is successful we are heading to a sustainable future.
The date for the next SEA Gala 2015 is fixed. On November 12th, in the “Wiener Sofiensäle”, the most innovative and sustainable business models will be awarded for the 4th time in a row.
