Finally the big day arrived: on 10 April Hofburg Vienna once again opened its doors under the slogan of “Sustainability is in our hands!”. For the second time the Sustainable Entrepreneurship Award (sea) was presented at a festive gala. 260 entrepreneurs from 30 countries submitted their ideas for this international award. The winners in each of the 7 categories as well as the prizes for the Best Project and Best Idea awards as well as the sea of Excellence were distinguished at the sea gala. Extraordinary projects and entrepreneurs from around the globe were the main characters of this eveing. The stage was all theirs.
400 illustrious international guests from the worlds of politics, industry, media and society saluted the prize winners with us and celebrated a deluxe green event. I was especially touched by Charlotte & Jonathan, the finalists of ‘Britain’s Got Talent’. These two young talents gave the entire audience goosebumps with their powerful voices, elicited standing ovations and casted a special spell over our event in the Hofburg Vienna.
I would like to thank each and every one of you who joined us for this extraordinary evening. Thank you also for the many congratulations, the great response and fantastic feedback. This makes me deeply happy, gives me strength and encourages me in my conviction that this idea has what it takes to inspire people. May the gala remain in everyone’s memory and contribute, however modestly, towards that goal.
For those who were not able to attend, we have compiled a summary of all the things you missed and that are still to come. I would be pleased to welcome you to next year’s event. Become a part of the sea revolution!
